The secret to extreme health lies in your gut… So says today’s podcast guest, Kirsty Wirth from Kultured Wellness — and with good reason.

Kirsty’s story is fascinating. Her young son used to be autistic, non-verbal and unresponsive. But after she implemented an intense healing regime for his gut, the little guy is now thriving, robust, and healthier than ever.

Sounds crazy, right? But the link between our guts and our brains is now well known by scientists — even if mainstream nutrition has not yet caught up. Which is exactly why Kirsty is on a mission to revolutionise our health by sharing her secrets with the people who need it most.

If you’re already on the gut health bandwagon, let me assure you: Kirsty takes things seriously next level. (If you think that bone broth and fermented veggies alone are enough, you must listen to this podcast.)

As well as teaching us how to care for our microbiome, Kirsty shares heaps of surprising ways that our gut bacteria influence our life — from our moods, to our weight, to our fertility, and even our relationships.

She is one amazing woman, and you’re not going to want to miss this conversation.

In this episode we chat about:

  • How her son transformed from being autistic, non-verbal and unresponsive, to a thriving, healthy kid (04:28)
  • How your gut affects your thoughts and moods — and how what you eat influences everything about how you feel (15:03)
  • Her best tools, tips and tricks for repopulating your microbiome and healing a damaged gut (01:00:40)
  • How to be a blissed-out mother (yes, it is possible, and it all starts in your digestive tract!) (27:12)
  • How to prepare your body for making babies (her approach to fertility is fascinating, and I’ve loved implementing her tips) (29:02)
  • Why gut health is imperative for hormones, sexy skin, vitality, energy and brain cognition (38:05)
  • The link between your gut and your weight (44:39)
  • What your stools say about your gut health (57:12)
  • Plus so much more!

Hi Melissa – this podcast was so insightful for me! I have almost all of those symptoms described – I can’t wait to do some research and get this manager. Thank you 🙂

    • Kirsty Wirth says:

Hi Annie, I’m so glad you enjoyed the podcast. Happy researching 🙂

      • Carol Carter says:

Hi, Kristy, i saw you in the Gut Solution podcast. I have had methane sibo for over a year and since June have developed dumping syndrome where the food doesn’t stay in the stomach but dumps on ingestion into the small bowel. I am very ill and very low weight. I’ve decimated what bacterial balance i had with the wrong probiotics which fed the sibo and spores which wiped everything out. i filled out a screening form for a clinic in the Bahamas and haven’t heard back yet. I am struggling to survive. I would like to know where you went and whether you think this could help me. Also, do you know of a good gut healing specialist/ doctor who focuses on natural medicine and diet. I am in Ohio and could have nly work by phone. Thank you. Carol Carter. 614-488-5222

      • Hey Carol, I have sent your details to Kirsty, so she should be in touch. Otherwise, please reach out to her directly. Wishing you so much love. xx

  2. Bridget says:

    Hi Mel

This was absolutely my favourite episode yet! I got so much out of it, I love hearing people speak who are so knowledgeable and passionate about what they do.

I’m currently 15 weeks pregnant and I know that my gut health is what I’ll pass onto my baby so I have made some changes to my lifestyle over the past 5 years, but after listening to this I really want to make sure I give my baby the best I can.

I also am guilty of just drinking kombucha and eating fermented foods, not knowing if these are right for me.

Are taking the tests and modifying things from that something I can still do now?

    Thanks so much xxx

  3. Claudia says:

I just finished listening to episode#5 Heal your gut with Kirsty Wirth and it was amazing! I’m on a quest to use food as medicine since I have increasingly worsening eczema flare ups and acne on my face and severe menstrual cramps and I’m tired of drs not knowing what is causing all of this. I appreciate all the info and resources you both shared! Thank you so much!
    Xoxo
    ~Claudia

  4. Mya says:

This podcast “heal your gut” was so interesting and thought provoking. I thought I was getting myself and my family on track with gut health but this takes it next level. Thank you so much for providing this podcast!

  5. Sophie says:

    Hi Melissa,
I looooved this episode so so much. I thought I knew quite a lot about gut health before, but I found this so informative and inspiring. What an amazing woman Kirsty is! It is so important everyone knows this kind of information, so thank you for getting it out there xx

    • Kirsty Wirth says:

I agree Sophie, we have to spread the word. So glad you enjoyed the podcast 🙂

      • Paula Pownall says:

        Hi kirsty,

i loved the podcast! thanks for sharing!!

where can i get all the tests done, and make sure they are the right tests? so i have the right start the fermented foods and not feeding the bad bacteria.??

  6. Caroline says:

Oh my gosh this episode was epic! Such amazing, invaluable information shared. Kirsty and Melissa both have such an incredible wealth of knowledge. I learned so much from this podcast and feel incredibly inspired to start putting into place all the tips mentioned during this episode. Thank you so much for sharing your stories and your beautiful message!

  7. Hayley says:

Hi Melissa, I loved this podcast. It was so insightful and full of useful information. I just wish to ask what tests you asked the Naturopath for, a few years ago, when you went to determine the state of your gut health? Thanks.

    • Hey Hayley,

I did so many different tests from gene, all different bloods, bio-screen and more. The best thing you can do is go see a naturopath and chat to her about what’s best for you as we are all so very unique and different. Otherwise you may get a test for something that you don’t even need, which is a waste for time and money. It’s best to know what you are doing instead of taking a stab in the dark.

      xx

      • Hayley says:

Hi Melissa, thank you for you reply. Can you recommend any Naturopath’s in Brisbane, who would specialise in Gut health and healing? I’m also interested in getting some of the tests done, that have been discussed. I am looking forward to hearing of any great practitioners. Thank you so so much, Hayley

      • Hey honey,

The best thing to do is email Kirsty and ask her about tests and naturopaths in Brissy. She’s the expert 😉

        xx

      • Olga says:

What an awesome podcast! I have a similar story to you where my histamine levels went through the roof after drinking green smoothies and smashing down sauerkraut. I’ve managed to settle the skin condition but still don’t feel 100%… what is the name of your naturopath in Sydney? Xo

    • Kirsty Wirth says:

Hi Hayley, I would recommend the Bioscreen test to really delve in deep and understand your gut. Happy to help you organise that if you need. Get In touch and we will make it happen for you 🙂

      • Hayley Ashford says:

Hi Kirsty. I am so grateful to be able to have come across your work and Kultured Wellness, Can I ask if you can recommend a Naturapath in Brisbane that is able to do the Bioscreen and other tests? Do you consult with/ cater for clients who are in Brisbane? Thank you so, so much, Hayley

  8. Steph says:

I adore Kirsty Wirth. Thank you for sharing her wisdom with us. I’d love to hear her dive into even more specialised conditions and example Bioscreen results.

  9. Amanda van den Bergh says:

I absolutely LOVED this episode! Kirsty’s story hit home to me. I struggled with gut problems and an autoimmune condition. Over the last year I have improved it so much, but I know I am not 100 percent there yet! I loved the tips on getting tested. Im also trying for a baby, but now really have to ensure my gut is super clean and will definitely be getting the tests done! Please can you do a follow up episode with Kirsty in the future? Thank you!

  10. Ida-Sofia says:

Thank you so so much Melissa!
Kirsty gave me so much motivation and inspiration to heal my gut completely. I’ve had ups and downs on my gut healing journey but now I believe I have all the tools to start my gut healing process. Special thanks for all those book tips. I will look after them. 🙂
    Love,
    Ida-Sofia

  11. Lucy Walker says:

What does a day on a plate look like in order to heal your gut? X

    • Hey Lucy,

Great question! Everyone is so different which is why working with someone like Kirsty to really tailor to your needs is imperative otherwise you are taking a stab in the dark.

Have you thoughts about working with Kirsty or someone similar?

    • Kirsty Wirth says:

Hi Lucy, Melissa’s right. It’s different for everyone but fermented foods should always be on your plate of you want to heal your gut. If you need some tailored support get in touch. We would love to support you 🙂

  12. Ella says:

Hi, great episode, loved hearing this and thanks for sharing all this valuable information. Can you also share the list of tests to ask for (either with naturopath or doctor) to see how your guts are currently working and give you an idea what’s not!?
    Thanks!! X

  13. Madeline says:

Amazing amazing episode! Thanks you SO much, ladies!

Melissa—you said you had an overgrowth of e.coli in your gut at one point. I do too—what did you do to address it?

Would be awesome if you provided transcripts for the podcast for easy reference. Thanks!!

  14. Julia says:

    Hi Melissa,
I loved all your episodes, but this one was especially informative. You mentioned that you had gotten tests done yourself – to be honest, there is so much out there, would you mind sharing which Naturopath you were seeing in Sydney, or which tests you recommend undertaking to kick it off, especially if you want to do it in a holistic way? Thank you & all the best! Can’t wait for episode #11 to be released! xx

    • Hey Julia,

I am currently seeing Kirsty and Kylie Seaton in Sydney.

There are so many tests you can get done and you don’t want to waste your time and money. I would go see Kirsty, a holistic GP or a great naturopath and chat to them first otherwise, you are taking a stab in the dark and I don’t want you to waste your time, money or energy.

      xx

  15. Alison C says:

Fantastic episode – wow. You’re both amazing women <3 <3. Thanks a million for the inspiration, am diving in right now now!! Xx

  16. Tracey says:

I loved this podcast! I learned so much and I have been studying about the gut microbiome for quite a while. I have been on a gut healing journey for a while but now know I have been doing it the wrong way. Thank you so much for sharing. x

  17. Liv says:

Hi Melissa, this was such a great episode – I now understand why I was getting really bad breakouts and stomach cramps last year when I jumped on the fermented food bandwagon with full force – a definite case of overdoing a good thing! Would you know of a good naturopath in Melbourne I could get in touch with to get some tests done? Or how to find one? Thanks heaps! xx

    • Don’t worry Liv, I have done the same thing in the past and ended up with hives and eczema all over my body #ekk

I don’t know anyone in Melbourne, but the best thing to do is ask Kirsty Wirth or Kylie Seaton (my two go-to girls) and see if they have any ideas. They are the best!

    • Gemma Daniel says:

Hi Liv, just wondering whether you managed to find a good naturopath in Melbourne who focusses on the gut. I am looking too! Would love any recommendations. Thanks, Gemma

  18. JJ says:

Wow what a great informative episode. I was drinking water kefir thinking I was helping and improving my gut health but this episode made me realize in hindsight it was more than likely making my situation worse. Definitely going to get in touch with a naturopath before I start drinking it again. Thank you both for your insights x

  19. Hannah says:

    Hi Melissa,
I loved this episode, so insightful and inspiring! I am currently studying Honours in Psychology, and It is people like you and Kirsty who reinforce the importance to investigate gut health and mental health. I am so excited to learn more for my own personal healing journey and to be a part of an industry providing knowledge to people struggling with gut health problems.

  20. Amy Limmer says:

OMG! Absolutely LOVED this podcast. I couldn’t stop listening!!
I’ve been looking into gut health a lot lately and am just obsessed. Kirsty, you’re a wizz! I just want to absorb all your knowledge. Melissa, thankyou for sharing this with us. I’m absolutely loving all your podcasts and re-brand 😉 xx

  21. Kelly Hensley says:

Omg this is my FAV podcast of them all!!!! Having just had a baby the thought of introducing solids has me skeptical at what he ‘really’ needs in his little tummy. This was SO insightful and has me left with a tonne of questions! My diet isn’t 100% and i resonated alot with the symptoms Kristy talked about… will def look up some info & get in touch with her. Thank Mel

  22. Laura says:

Wowzer! This is my second MA podcast! I listened to the Danielle La Porte episode first as I love her work but this episode was ANOTHER LEVEL! The passion you guys have for this topic was overwhelming and infectious and the natural nature of the interview made it an absolute pleasure! I never thought I’d find a podcast that I love as much as my beloved Tim Ferriss (!!) but this episode has left me wanting so much more!! I’m going to give your other episodes a red hot go and Kirsty was incredible! I honestly loved it guys, thanks so much! Keep up the amazing worth! Mwah!

  23. Sarah Thornborough says:

    Melissa, you beautiful goddess!
    Wow just wow.
I’ve been devouring your podcasts and loving them. However this podcast with Kirsty was just next level for me. I think just what I need to hear.
I’m pregnant (yes again – can’t get enough of the cuties) and the level of information and passion that Kirsty has for gut health is inspiring! I knew it was important, but didn’t really know why – I have learnt so much and I think this nugget of a podcast will help take me into the next level of health. I do have fatigue issues that I want to fix and think this will be the way to do it. I’m a little disappointed there is no magic bullet that helps everyone, but so grateful to you and Kirsty that this information is out there and I can start my own journey on it. I shall be sharing it. I think everyone needs to hear this! My hubby has huge gut issues so I’m so excited I can help him too, armed with the knowledge from Kirsty. I’m still flabagasted that not all fermented food will help everyone!

Thank you thank you thank you!

So the best place to start is get some tests done right? Any tips on who I should go to for these and what I would ask for?

    Thank you again.
    Xx

    • YAY number 2 how exciting angel. So happy for you guys.

The best thing to do is email Kirsty she will point you in the right direction.

Sending you guys so much love and miss you loads.

      xx

      • Sarah Thornborough says:

I know right?!? So exciting!! Miss you loads too. However, I’m so glad I can listen to you/read you anytime. xx

  24. Bragan says:

    Hello Melissa! 🙂

What is the best test for testing one’s gut bugs? I am very intrigued.

    Thank you,
    Bragan

  25. Stephanie says:

Wow, I absolutely loved this podcast!
I constantly have issues with my gut, and this has been truely eye opening AND a really kick up the bum to do something about it
    Thanks xx
Where can I go to get one of these tests done? Is the best person a natropath?

  26. Corinne says:

Loved hearing this podcast- I was listening to it while taking a bath looking out at an epic view in Maui 🙂 it totally helped me put some puzzle piece together as it seems the universe is winking at me about gut health (I hear and see it everywhere- for the last few months). What was the test she recommended getting done to check your specific gut biome and bacteria?

  27. Jaci says:

Hi Melissa, I really enjoyed this episode! However, I missed the exact name of the gut tests that Kirsty recommends. Can you tell me what they are?
    Thanks!
    xo Jaci

    • Hey honey,

So glad you love this episode. The best thing to do is email Kirsty as the tests will be different for everyone as we are all so unique. Send her an email and she will let you know.

      xx

  28. Claire says:

Hey Mel, thanks for the awesome episode. I would be so grateful if kirsty could recommend a credible testing facility in LA? I’m an Aussie transplant living over here currently! And also any good therapists? Thanks so much!

  29. Lisa Raben says:

Really interesting podcast! But now I’m so worried because I have a six month old son who was delivered by cesarean. He´s not colic and is not showing any of the symptoms of autism but he has some problem with his stomach, a lot of gas sometimes and loose faeces. I’ve been told that loose yellow faeces is normal. I’m breastfeeding him since day one and have kept a lot of skin-to-skin contact, the first weeks he practically lived on me 24 hours a day but now I realize that might not have been enough to support his good bacteria because of the cesarean. Should I be worried? Is there anything I can do to support his gut health? I have just recently started to give hime some food – fruit and vegetables – to taste but will continue to breast feed.

    • Hey Lisa,

Don’t stress there are loads of great things you can do for your little man.

Firstly, I would email Kirsty and get her opinion as she is the expert.

Secondly, I would read this book as soon as you can.

Keep me posted on how you go honey but please don’t stress as that won’t do anything and your baby can feel your stress.

      xx

  30. Jessica Lowe says:

Hi Mel! Loving this ep! Hey where. An we find the bio screen stool tests?

  31. Camilla says:

    HI Melissa,

First of all, I wanted to say you are the Australian version of me! I read your book and our journeys and our life lessons have so much in common. (I was ill with M.E. for 9 years in my twenties and now only follow what brings me joy).

I am in much better shape now, however I am still not there with my gut and this affects my mood, my options – going away/relationships/jobs (it’s embarrassing when you’re having awful symptoms) and my energy. Interestingly, it was the first symptom when I got unwell and I was a caesaerian!!

I am based in the UK. I can’t access Bioscreen but in reading the comments I see Kirsty possibly does Skype sessions.

My question is, does Kirsty recommend a similar stool test in the UK? What am I looking for? (I’ve had many but all come back ‘normal’). And are naturopaths here the same as in Australia? Or can she recommend one if she cannot treat me?

Thank you Melissa and I am delighted you are doing these podcasts. There are so many out there about ‘wellness’ and if you have been through illness yourself, you realise they tend to only scratch the surface and despite good intentions, their level of knowledge is so small. When you have been through an awful illness your instinct is to learn and to try to heal and therefore your depth of knowledge is so much more vast as yourself and Kirsty.

Thank you for all your insight and hard work. It is a refreshing and much needed input and I look forward to reaching full health with your guidance and hopefully meeting you one day in Oz!

    Thank you.

    • Thank you so much for your kind words angel and I too hope to meet you one day.

The best thing to do is email Kirsty and book in a skype session with her. She is awesome and will help you navigate your next health steps.

      xx

    • Jemma says:

      Hi Camilla,
Im an Aussie, based in the UK. Let me know how you get on finding some good holistic practitioners in the UK! Don’t know where to start!

  32. Kim says:

  33. Jana says:

I don’t want to take tablets any more and put things in my body I just want to eat healthy balanced and be as healthy as I can be:)

    Any suggestions is great.

    Thanks
    jana

  34. Natalie says:

This podcast was by far one of my faves! Such juicy info and so excited to take it all on board and get my gut sorted- Keep the fab podcasts coming Mel, Loving them!

  35. Jessica says:

    Thanks for sharing this Melissa!
I’ll be honest I’ve never connected so much to a podcast in my life! I have been in and out of doctors offices and hospitals for the last 4 years with no answers about any of my symptoms, and just living like a zombie off medications which I absolutely hate!

It was so amazing to hear someone talk about all the symptoms that I experience daily and feel like I’m not a crazy person because they are REAL issues experienced by real people not just found in research data!

What inspiring women you both are! THANK YOU! xx

  36. Hayley says:

This is my favourite podcast to date! Wow what a note it has hit. So so inspiring and I’m now so intrigued to get more answers to my health and not just except the first opinion I ever got. Thank you! So grateful.

  37. Irena says:

Thank you Mel and Kirsty. This episode was incredibly educating and insightful! It would be amazing to win the candida cleanse pack as I am hoping to nourish my gut as much as I possibly can as I prepare to conceive in the next few years. I love everything you talk about and how relatable I feel to you both! Such incredible knowledge I wish everyone would listen to! xxx

  38. Madison says:

Melissa, your podcast has lit up my life like no other. (I’ve actually written it in my gratitude journal more than once!) I have been using Jonni’s One Giant Mind app for almost a month and am OBSESSED- and gotten numerous of my clients to give meditation a go because of it. Plus, your latest on fertility and the pill had my girls talking at my event tonight. All of this to say: thank you!!

When I saw you were doing a giveaway I got super excited too, because I don’t know anyone in my area doing gut work like this! Living in a small Midwest town, it’s rare to find people with this amount of knowledge and resources. (Still looking though!) 🙂 Winning would be the cherry on top of all I’ve gained from being impacted by your work.

Truly, my health, wealth, and love have expanded because of your work. Keep shining. You inspire me to shine too.

    All the love. ♥️

  39. Jade says:

  42. Jacqueline says:

As a student of Nutrition, a lover of the gut and all around health nut, I’ve listened to the “Heal your Gut Heal your life” episode multiple times and I mean that! I continuely share your podcast and in particular I introduce this episode to friends who would benefit from listening. To listen along with them renews my excitement and deep curiousity every single time. I simply love the knowledge and have a deeper appreciate for how important the gut is. I would just Looove to try out Kirsty’s bundle cleanse to give my gut the refresh that it needs and then to pass on the possibility of relief to others. This episode has been such a huge source of inspiration for me. I aim to study and spread the knowledge of how to treat the gut like the precious gem that it is. It is a life work. Thank you Melissa and Kirsty.

  43. Daisy says:

Thank you for the show gorgeous girls! Kirsty your story is inspiring, what a strong mumma you are. I would freaking love one of your candida bundles as I would love to heal my own but also share kultured wellness with my dad in the hopes of helping his health too. We have made a turmeric latte together maybe fermentation is next 🙂 thanks again xx

  44. MMIng says:

Mel, I’m such a fan girl of yours and the tribe of people you attract. In the last 12 months I’ve gone through a massive transition from leaving the pill. I got married (on Saturday!), moved back to Aus and basically started all over again- that is Allie the past 3 months.

12 months ago I just knew the pill wasn’t right and seeing patients in hospital post stroke (with the only reason being possibly the pill) was also a wake up call. There were so many times I wanted to go back on though- when my hair fell out…. (#traumatic!) when my skin looked like the alps… when I was so down and out I didn’t want to go to work and horrendous periods!!! It’s definately not over… but I’m working in it.
My beautiful friend from London told me about you, Kirsty worth and the importance of gut health. I’m Trying to educate myself. I’m working hard at Nat Kringoudus’ clinic, changing my diet bit by bit, regular yoga, meditation, increasing fermented foods and finally noticing small changes – both mentally and physically.

So, that is me in a nutshell. At the moment. But I’m always evolving.

I’m keen for Kirsty’s pack to continue on but I’ll continue on regardless cos I believe it and I’m in the tribe girl!

  45. Rachel Leedom says:

Hi Melissa!! I have been OBSESSED with your beautiful podcast since it’s launch. Each episode is filled with so much information, I’ve learned so much and shared with my friends and family!
As for the Giveaway, I would absolutely love to win one of the bundles!! I have learned so much from Kirsty – both through the podcast and following her work & social media, and am dying to give some of her products a try! I have implemented many of her suggestions into my diet, but I do have a bunch of gut issues right now that I have wanted to be careful to not just “shoot in the dark” as she said in the podcast by drinking Kefir and Kombucha if that isn’t what will specifically help.
I have made an appointment with a naturopath and I have a bunch of her products bookmarked to try, but money has been tight the last few months so this giveaway has literally come at the most coincidental time!
Thank you Melissa and Kirsty for this opportunity with this fun giveaway!! I had already given the podcast a five star rating, but I had my friend do it as well just to help as much as I could! Thanks again!

  46. Cat Greene says:

    Hi Mel,
Thank you so much for sharing! I adored this episode, lots of juicy pieces of info and so much more to uncover. Kirsty makes it all seem so simple and achievable!!
I would love to win the candida bundle and help heal my coeliac belly before I have any little babes growing in there. Xxx

Keep doing what you’re doing – these podcasts make me look forward to my commute to work!

    Hi Melissa,

I listen to your podcasts religiously and so many have really hit home with me. In July 2016 I gave birth too my second son Lenny who was born prematurely at just 24 weeks gestation. I can honestly say that prior to conceiving Lenny I wasn’t in the right mind frame, I was stressed and disconnected from my body. I had a completely different pregnancy with my first, Axel to Lenny. I was glowing and went all the way to 41 weeks with Axel. Axel is now 2 and is the picture of health and cheekiness!! Lenny spent 149 days in the NICU after being born whis now a thriving happy beautiful bubba doing all the right things and is still fully breastfeeding, so I believe that The Kultured Wellness Candida bundle will not only help me but also transfer onto Lenny and help him too!

‘Lenny the lion’ is a short film of Lennys journey and our time during his NICU stay which can be viewed through the following link.

    Thankyou and all my love,

Sorry Mel I had a few problems commenting and didn’t think this post went through so re-wrote, there is another 2 attempts after this so please disregard this and the next from myself. The final one you can keep 🙂

  48. Lauren Catalano says:

    Hi Melissa,

Since you went live with your podcast channel I have listened too everyone except 1! I love them, I know listen too podcasts while I cook, clean and drive. This particular one though really struck home with me. In July 2016 I gave birth too my second son, Lenny at just 24 weeks gestation. The journey from that moment forward constited off 149 days in the NICU by his side doing everything we could too help him through! From crystals in his humicrib too daily coconut massages the nurses tho

  49. Hannah says:

Thank you so incredibly much! SO many lightbulb moments for me throughout this episode. I got extremely sick last year after living overseas by myself, I developed systemic candida overgrowth from the stress of coping with my anxieties. In an effort to treat it I consumed as much ferments and probiotics as possible but it only made it worse!! After coming back to Australia I discovered I had vitamin deficiencies and parasite infections. Throughout this last 6 months healing my gut has been of the utmost priority, I am finally making some progress but I would love the change to further improve my gut with the amazing products from Kultured Wellness! 😉

  50. Nicole Rouillon says:

This is MY FAVOURITE episode so far not only because I am obsessed with Kultured Wellness and everything Kirsty does (: but I learnt so much from episode! Loved everything about it thanks girls!!
I would LOVE to win one of Kirsty’s candida bundle as after a recent autoimmune diagnosis and subsequent medication protocol my belly is screaming for some candida cleansing. Happy gut health to everyone! xox

The journey from that moment forward constited off 149 days in the NICU by his side doing everything we could too help him through! From crystals in his humicrib too daily coconut massages the nurses thought I was crazy 🙂 Prior too having Lenny the thought of having a premature baby had never crossed my mind and the NICU was a nonexistant world but after listening too this podcast I start too question – “was my onset of premature labour the result of an imbalance in my gut and overall health”? I don’t know!? But what I do know is my pre-conception, pregnancy and post partam where completely different from Axel, my first, to Lennys. My husband and I cleansed months before even trying to fall pregnant with Axel, I went to a naturopath and got all my levels ect checked, I was in the right mindset and my body was ready too have a baby. I had a perfect pregnancy and went all the way through to 41 weeks with Axel. Then when I found out I was pregnant with Lenny I was still breastfeeding, I wasn’t in the right kind frame, I wasn’t a picture of health and I believe my body wasn’t ready for another baby. Lenny is now a beautiful, healthy baby who is 5 months corrected (8 months actual) since bringing him home we have followed a holistic approach too his health and he is thriving!!! With Lenny still breastfeeding and myself wanting too really focus on my gut health as we start to prepare for another baby in the next few years the Kultured Wellness Candida Pack couldn’t have come at a better time! I believe it will be a stepping stone too helping my gut heal and to transfer through too Lenny who will also benefit from it aswell.

Ps I have tried too leave a 5 star review on iTunes but have no idea how!!

PPS ‘Lenny the lion’ is a short film about Lennys amazing journey through the NICU and has recently won awards for best documentary and people’s choice! You can check it out through the following link https://vimeo.com/195774205

    Thankyou and much love,

It must be a ‘Lauren’ thing as I too had difficulties posting and as result have posted twice. Lenny the Lion is an incredible piece! Thank you so much for sharing. Love and Light, La x

  52. Jacinta says:

Absolutely ahhhh-MAZING! This inspired me to really take action and get my own microbiome tested and what do you know!? Candida overgrowth, parasites, leaking gut, my tummy is in all sorts! I am so grateful to have access to information like this, it’s truly changing my life for the better! I would LOVE to be gifted one of Kirsty’s Candida Bundles to really help me on my journey to healing my gut

  53. Lauren Luckman says:

I’ve suffered from IBS for as long as I can remember and because I’ve spent my entire early adulthood with these symptoms they became the norm for me as they became part of my life. For at least 10 years I’ve put up with constant abdo pain, bloating and diarrhoea, and have constantly had to worry about what I eat for fear of getting so bloated that I feel sick. I’ve tried so many diets and eliminated so many foods, yet nothing has seemed to help, until I came across this. Thank you so much for helping me Melissa with sharing your wisdom and the wisdom of others in your industry. I’m now on the way to tackling my gut health so I don’t have to live with these symptoms that I’ve normalised for so long.

  54. Amy Southorn says:

Wonderful podcast! Kirsty is so knowledgable and what an amazing woman! I have personally struggled with candida for over 10 years and would love the chance to win a candida bundle. I have tried countless diets and cleanses to clear candida from my system and bring my gut back into balance without success. Often I experience a respite from symptoms after being very strict with diet and supplements and then relapse. I would love to have the chance to try Kirsty’s approach to healing from candida and improve my quality of life. With love, Amy

  55. Anni says:

This is the first episode I listened to! Just like you Melissa I am obsessed with gut health at the moment. I am just waiting to get my test results. I will start a gut healing diet in a few weeks and I’m sure I would really benefit from Kirsty’s candida bundle. I would be so so happy and grateful if I won it! 🙂

  56. Tiffany Davies says:

Melissa, you are such an inspiration! I have been reading your book & now listening to these podcasts each morning on my way to work & love them! I have been recommending them to all my friends. Totally loved this episode with Kristy, I have so many gut issues I have been trying to research as much as possible & this was so inspirational. I would love love love to win her cleanse!
    Keep doing amazing things girl
    Tiffany

  57. Samantha says:

    Hi Melissa and Kirsty,
I LOVED this episode and just got so excited that you are giving away candida packages (and really hope I win one). I went and got a bioscreen test straight after listening to the podcast and seems I have a long road ahead to balance my gut. Scary but also relieved that I can finally do something to help my condition. Really hope I win the package to kick me off on my journey! Thank you again for all you shared, truly inspiring and appreciated!

  58. Tiana says:

I would be so unbelievably grateful to receive one of the Candida Bundles. Over the last 5 years I have been diagnosed with multiple autoimmune conditions (Rheumatoid Arthritis, Hypothyroidism.. im only in my mid twenties so it is not cool at all!) and I have arrived to the point where I know NEED to take control of my own health & my life so I can become vital and thriving. From following you and listening to the wonderful insights within this podcast I now know that healing the gut is the first place I need to start xxx

  59. Natalie K says:

This was the biggest eye opener for me! I’ve been trying endlessly to lose weight and it just doesn’t seem to work. I’ve had so many colonoscopies, tests and samples taken to determine that there wasn’t “anything” wrong yet I still don’t feel right. It hit home listening to this podcast that maybe my underlying problem was actually all the bad bacteria in my guts. Thank you thank you thank you for allowing me to see that maybe this is what I needed to hear to truly understand my body.

  60. Ali Copeland says:

This was such an awesome podcast with such practical tips & advice, & presented in such an easily understandable way I felt it gave me some good insight & some easy starting points/steps to start working on not only my own gut health but for my 9 year old daughter as well. Being a single mum it’s hard sometimes to find the $$ & even just the time/energy to put your health first but listening to Kirsty has inspired me & reminded me your health, your children’s health, is just much too important & I need to do all I can to take care of both of us. Thank you so much Melissa & Kirsty for sharing your knowledge & beautiful hearts with us!

  61. Belle Jayne says:

    Hi Kirsty and Melissa,

What a wonderful insight into gut health and it’s importance throughout our life journey! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge kirsty!

I have suffered from anxiety and disordered eating for a while now, resulting in filling my gut with unhealthy foods and toxins.

You have highlighted the relationship between gut health and mental health. I am extremely motivated to practice gut healing to increase my energy and work towards a healthy, happy mindset.

I would be so so grateful if I am lucky enough to be chosen to start this journey with your cultured wellness candida bundle as Melissa just spoke of on instagram!!

Thank you both again for your kindness in sharing your passion to help others! X

  62. Why I’d like to win the Kultured Wellness Candida Bundle…

I did a short course on gut health last year via Coursera.org and it was incredibly interesting! I was so excited to listen to your podcast with Kirsty Wirth because it just put the whole subject in such a real and moving context for me. I’m so excited to check out all the books that Kirsty recommended and to put myself on a path to a better gut and ultimately, in turn, a better emotional state, a better body, a better spirit! Especially of late I have been so busy and rushed and I’m not giving my body the love that it needs. I listened to this episode this week and after being inspired, I decided that tomorrow I am paying a visit to the farmer’s market here in Cape Town and stocking up on all the yummy goodies I need to put myself on a better path. Winning the Candida Bundle would be so exciting, just to be able to delve deeper into the world of gut health and bacteria!

Thanks for your podcast as a whole. It is hands down my favourite podcast. X

  63. Alisha says:

This podcast absolutely blew my mind! I have been suffering from chronic migraines for two years now, spending 25 days a month bed bound. I am now receiving Botox every three months which has significantly reduced my migraine days but it’s only a band aid. It wears off & im back where I was. I have read so much information regarding brain gut connection & would love to be considered to win one of Kirsty’s Candida bundles. Absolutely love your podcasts

  64. Trish says:

Thank you Melissa and Kirsty for this amazing podcast! Every moment resonated with me and I really appreciated Kirsty’s authenticity and her obvious desire to help others.

I heard about Kultured Wellness last year and have been using the starter cultures for yoghurt and kefir since then but I never realised that Kirsty had other services available until this podcast.

Being 6 months pregnant I would love to work with Kirsty on some of my health concerns as I want my body to be at its best for my growing baby, to make sure he thrives once he has entered the world and to also make sure my transition into Mama-hood is healthy and that my body is well supported. However after checking her website and looking into the services I just can’t afford to pay amongst needing to move and paying for everything else a baby needs. I find this so frustrating as I believe our health is our best asset and therefore needs to be invested in which is why I took my preconception care so seriously, but I can tell that my body still needs work! For this reason I would love to win one of the Kultured Wellness Candida Bundles as I feel it would be so helpful for me and my growing boy!

  65. Kate says:

    Lovely Melissa! <3
Thank you for this episode. Thank you for this podcast channel!
I would love to enter into the Candida Cleanse Heal Your Gut.

    Why?

I've been living with chronic candida for the better part of 10 years. I've tried a great deal of products (everything from Western medicine, the candida diet to herbalism and even trying to meditate it away). I feel like this could be the best kick start for me to try again, after previously losing hope.

Thank you, so very much, for the opportunity.

    xx

    Kate

  66. Mags says:

Thank you for this amazing podcast! I’ve learnt so much but have so much more to learn! Thank you

  67. Georgia says:

    Hey Mel,
This is in response the Kultured Wellness giveaway. I’d actually like to go in this little goodie draw for a friend’s sister who struggles with candida. She such an animated, kind and beautiful girl but struggles with Candida and depression. I’d love to introduce you to her podcasts and for her to be able explore a new resource like Kultured Wellness for healing her gut. I feel like this is the perfect way! I’m loving the podcasts by the way! Sharing for everyone I know from boyfriend to mother!

  68. Aimee says:

I am loving your podcast & all the great info u are putting out into the world.
For the last 6 years I have been struggling with my health, & after some misdiagnosises, being turned away by misinformed gps, spending a lot of my time researching & standing up for myself, & finally finding a proper practitioner who wanted to get to the root cause & not just give me some bandaid drugs for a host of different symptoms, I was finally diagnosed with celiac disease, lupus, adrenal fatigue, candida & leaky gut.
I have become so fascinated with the gut & trying to heal my own. I would love nothing more than to win this candida bundle you have on offer & to try these products. I have spent thousands & thousands of dollars over the years, & a lot of it did more harm than good. I feel like it was a little serendipitous that I stumbled upon your instagram feed tonight after listening to this podcast today.
I would love to give these amazing products a try, and well saving some much needed cash would be amazing, but either way I will eventually try them all.
Thank you for this podcast & for all the podcasts you do. Muchly appreciated!! I am so grateful for finding you both & the work that you do.

  69. Sarah says:

I would love the candida pack. It’s come to my attention after my own reading, research and listening to a your podcasts including Kirsty’s and the special on candida that myself and my young daughter have signs that things are out of whack! We are embarking on healing our gut via the gaps protocol, it feels so daunting to take on the responsibility to make my girl thrive again, her digestion and gut issues have led her to cognitive issues, mild anxiety and mood swings. She has noticeably headed in a downward spiral, effecting her confidence, friendships and her learning journey at school. I am 100% committed to help her through this stage and get her back on track to health and vitality. We’re doing it together and together we’ll whinge about our cravings, headaches and irritability!! But we’ll come out the other side.. the pack would be amazing support for us. The knowledge you two share is invaluable. Thanks so much, Sarah (and India) x

  70. Nancy Neil says:

    Hi Melissa,
I am so happy I started listening to your podcasts. They are educational, inspiring and relatable. I just love them!
This one in particular spoke to me in so many ways. For years I have been dealing with gut health issues and while I have implemented some protocols to try and heal my gut, I know there is a lot more I should/can be doing. I want to commit 100% to healing my gut so I would absolutely love to win one of the candida bundles.
Thank you for the amazing podcasts you share with us. It is so beautiful how much you care about people and your willingness to help and educate is inspiring.
Also, thank you to Kirsty for imparting your wealth of knowledge on this super important topic.

  71. Milly says:

    Hi Mel!

I really really loved this podcast it was so insightful and super helpful!

I am a paramedic and I have coeliac disease so I can sometimes really struggle finding the motivation to eat well on long 12 hour shifts but this podcast really inspired me to change my eating habits and really look at my gut health especially as I already have coeliac! It inspired me so much so that I went and saw a naturopath this week so thank you so much.

Ive popped a 5 star review on iTunes and would love the opportunity to win the candida bundle!

Thank you again for your work, it is so inspiring.

    Milly x

  72. Laura says:

I’ve listened and re-listened to this podcast episode and each time I become more inspired than the last! Like Kirsty said in the beginning of the episode… I’ve been hearing about gut health for awhile now but how the heck do I start?! Taking complete control of my gut health will be a process, but will be so worth it – at 25 I want to set myself up for the best, most vibrant future, and you both have given me insight into how good my body should feel! I would LOVE to try out the Candida Bundle Cleanse – a key that would help to unlock my full potential! Thank you both for your beautiful wisdom and insights! Forever inspired.

  73. Louisa says:

I am just about to start Kirsty’s 6 month program but I would love to win the candida bundle to give to my sister. She’s just getting into health and I think this would be a great start for her. She’s pretty yeasty too!

  74. Olivia Raffills says:

Hi Melissa, Firstly I want to say a big thank you for doing these podcasts. I can’t get enough of them and am always so stoked when I hear you have a new one up. Every podcast has had me on the edge of my seat soaking up all the awesome info I can. It’s unreal. Thank you! This podcast by Kirsty was especially interesting for me as after many courses of antibiotics and a strong sugar addiction I was told I may have Candida about 5 years ago. I have been on and off candida diets etc but after listening to the podcast I was inspired to get serious about healing the gut as all the information Kirsty gave us was so much easier interpret and implement than what ive heard in the past. I would love to win the Candida pack from Kultured Welness and try all the goodies. Much love xx

  75. Taylah Morris says:

    Hi Melissa,

Within a month I think I have become your biggest fan !!! I have read your whole book and about to start again ! I have also listened to every single one of your podcast’s and this one was by far my fav being a candida sufferer myself. I never really understood the effects of it and how seriously I need to be about doing something about it until I listened to this !
Have had glandular fever as well I just assumed that was the cause of all my ‘candida side effects’.. but it all starts in the gut hey ! So I would LOVE the opportunity to test out Kirsty’s Candida Bundle and then tell the world how amazing it is and how much better I feel ☺‍♀️
You have even inspired me to start studying nutrition and natruopathy I never thought I would study ever again !! Haha
Thank you for being you Melissa ❤
    With gratitude,
    Taylah x

  76. Holly Hudson says:

Since listening to this podcast last week I have gone online and bought 4 recommended gut health books , I’m so excited for them to arrive ! I’ve shared your podcasts with my girlfriends because I want them all to be the best versions of themselves, I have started colon hydrotherapy and I have gone to the doctor and had 5 types of tests done this week so I can know exactly where my body is at and what I need to do to become the healthiest I can be !! All because of your podcasts And wellness knowledge I am starting my journey !! Xxxx If only you could bring a podcast out everyday day , I’m obsessed !! Xx

  77. Ashley Couchman says:

    Hey Melissa,
Thanks so much for creating a five star podcast series! Of course I left you a glowing review. I am seriously in love with your channel and was up listening to it last night when I couldn’t sleep (I’m 37w pregnant). I found the episode with Kirsty Wirth one of the most fascinating, especially understanding the link and impact on children. I would be so grateful to be selected as a recipient of Kirsty’s pack so I can get started on creating better health and vitality for my little family.
    Much love,
    Xx

  78. Sarah Peterson says:

    Hi Melissa,

I want to say thank you for being a shining light in a time when I am turning my life around and taking a new path. Your past struggles I have really resonated with and to see the healing you have gifted yourself is such an inspiration. I have loved all the podcasts since launch, all have been nuggets of wisdom in different aspects. Your podcast has also inspired me to listen to others from your recommendations and I’m fast becoming a podcast nut. I am currently on a path of healing my life, coming from gluten intolerance, alcohol abuse, hormonal imbalances, thyroid issues, depression, anxiety, which have all lead to constant bloating, hair loss, break outs combined with dull dry skin and a serious lack of confidence in myself. I have been dealing with candida overgrowth for a while now and would love to Kirsty’s candida bundle to boost my healing journey and be able to feel my best self before my wedding in September.

Regardless of the prize pack, thank you for being such a shining star. I purchased your book at the end of last year, and it really resonated with me on how many ways my mean girl was holding me back from change. Your chapter on why you don’t drink helped me see that the path I was on was not adding value to my life and was actually contributing to my issues. Your Mastering your Mean girl mentoring program has also been amazing so far and am loving the constant guidance. Keep being your amazing self and inspiring the best in everyone you come into contact with.

    Xx

  79. Cecilia says:

Your podcast with Kirsty opened my eyes to the importance the gut has on our whole body and overall wellness. I have been inspired to delve further into my wellness journey but also Kirsty’s interview resonated with me that I had to share it with my mum who constantly struggles with overall wellness. I’m looking forward to implementing Kirsty’s advice into my daily routine but to also encourage my mum to reach her optimal self!

  80. LOVE LOVE LOVE Melissa I have to say I am a podcast queen, I have listened to so many inspirational interviews but I have not been able to stop listening to yours! Each episode makes my heart sing and I am left feeling so light and inspired to be the best version of myself on all levels spiritually, emotionally and physically. When I heard your podcast with Kirsty I soaked up every word because for years and years I have been having gut issues however after listening to this I finally feel like someone is speaking my language! I’m so inspired to finally do something because it has been the one thing holding me back as I haven’t had the right tools to help me. If you could help with this gut healing program I would be so grateful and will help spread this message and love for gut health to all my beautiful tribe of women.

  81. Lauren Williams says:

Thank you so much! For the last 12 months I have been suffering a re-occurring staph infection (as a result I get belly button infection, bloating, exhaustion, if I’m not constipated then I have diarrhoea and all those fun things). Constantly on/off antibiotics as my only method of healing and as a result no healing has occurred and the infection continues to reoccur. I am extremely late to the party of these podcasts, however listening to pod cast 5 – healthy gut Has given me the motivation to take control and heal the root cause instead of covering up the illness with antibiotics. THANK YOU! I have an investigative procedure (colonscopy and gastrophy) next Friday and am awaiting results of my recent swab test. To win Kultured wellness products would be incredible and cerment my path to healing naturally. Thank you both for the knowledge you have shared and for the motivation to get my health back on track. I am extremely grateful for this tribe and to have found this podcast. From my heart to yours – THANK YOU! X

  82. Tam says:

Epic podcast ladies! I got into gut health about 5 years ago when I found out i had a nasty parasite after some travel in Nepal. I wish I had known about Kirsty then!! I’m now a mumma myself and I’m forever trying to improve my microbiome and the health of my family. I would absolutely love the opportunity to try out the Candida bundle before we try for bubba number two.
I can truly hear the passion in your voices when you talk on this podcast! Love love love you both and the work that you do oxox

  83. Lauren Williams says:

I am a little late to the podcast party but extremely grateful to have stumbled upon them. Listening to this podcast about gut health has lifted the fog that has accompanied the last 12 months. I have been suffering from a re-occurring staph infection that resides in my belly button (think; puss, inflammation, bloating, abdominal discomfort, and a tag team of constipation and diarrhoea). As my only method of healing I have been on and off antibiotics a ridiculous amount of times since April last year, most recently I have been on 3 different antibiotics in the last three weeks!! The power of this podcast has taken me from frustrated, sad and scared to feeling informed, motivated and in charged with the passion and information gained from listening to the podcast and I can’t wait to listen to more and continue this state of empowerment and the I can attitude. I have an investigative procedure this Friday which will help understand what exactly is happening in my tummy and hopefully provide me with a reason as to why I have been suffering with this re-occurring staph infection. With these answers I am longing for and the resources provided here i am going to heal. I am going to become the best version of myself and I am going to tend to my tummy that has most certainly been stripped of everything good due to my infection and increased use of antibiotics. To be gifted the Kultured Wellness pack would be utterly divine and cerment the start of turning my gut ill health into the ultimate of gut health. I feel so confident I am on the right track girls. Call it divine timing, finding this podcast was literally music to my ears. Forever grateful! From my heart to yours – THANK YOU! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you xxx

  84. Anita McKenzie McKenzie says:

This Podcast has been an answer to my prayers that I sent out only last night! Amazing information that is the key to halting the progressive decline of my health ( More and more auto-immune issues) . I just didn’t know where to turn next. It also will help my daughter enormously ( …and that’s another story.)
Kirsty, I think you are THE most amazing person and mother to research. seek out solutions and develop your Kulture products. Thank you for giving me a new direction and answers to prayers of desperation!

  87. Kaitlin Woodforth Smith says:

This was the best podcast! With I’d say Donna gates coming a close second. I am all about gut health, I want to better my gut!!! I want to have a baby soon and I know it’s where I need to send all of my attention. I know that everything stems from the gut, I have recently trained to become a colon hydrotherapist and want a nice package/drink I can begin to recommend and I think kultered wellness is where it’s at!!!! Thank you for your Devine time and info

  88. ELOISE STEYN says:

I am so incrediby grateful that I came across this podcast. It has the most incredible information on it and I really do love listening to it. I’ve been struggling with my health for years, gut health, hormonal health, mental and self-esteem issues and this podcast is a godsend. I was so lost in this world of information and what the media was telling me about what I should and shouldn’t do and it was so overwhelming. Melissa offered a starting point, this podcast has really shed light on the best things to do and where to turn.
Listening to this podcast makes me motivated and resonates with a passion inside me that strives to heal and flourish.
Would absolutely love to win the Candida pack as I’m still really trying to get to the bottom of healing my gut and regaining my health.
Keep up the amazing work beautiful!

  89. Anna Loveridge says:

Hi Mel! As a 24 year old female who has such a similar story to your own, I can relate so much to this podcast and would be so extremely greatful to receive the candida pack giveaway. I am currently seeing a naturopath who has diagnosed me with severe intestinal candida overgrowth. This has been brought on by a previous sugar obsession, an eating disorder and other lifestyle factors that have also contributed to this overgrowth over the years. Due to the candida, I am experiencing very uncomfortable symptoms and also currently have severe cystic acne due to a hormonal imbalance. I have Pyrroles disorder and also MTHFR (which I am being treated for all thankfully!). I have never won anything, so thought I’d give this a whirl and put myself out there! I would feel so extremely blessed to win this Candida pack and really think it would do me so much good.
Keep spreading your amazing words through your podcast, I have listened to every single one already and am so infatuated with learning more and more about health and healing myself. Much love, Anna xoxo

  90. Kristi Ollino says:

I literally listened to this podcast for the first time on my walk yesterday! Just amazing timing – it was meant to be! I’ve had some major road blocks when it has come to trying to conceive to the point that IVF is my only option. My body just hasn’t got the working mechanics anymore. When Kirsty was talking about gut health and the issues she had with her son it really alerted me to the fact that I don’t want this for any child I bring into the world. I want to start on this journey of gut health now and ensure I’m doing all I can for the health and wellbeing of me and my future family. Really hit home that now is the time to change. Thank you both for sharing this with us all. Just loving you Melissa and everything you are doing!! xx

  91. Hannah says:

    Hi Mel and Kirsty,

WOW where do I start. I think of all the podcasts this is the most relatable for me and the health journey I have been on for the past 5 years. Coming from a dancing background of 10 years caused me to put my body through absolute hell. I have suffered but have finally over come a serious eating disorder although now my gut is seriously paying for it!! I have spent years training my gut how to eat and accept foods again. Iv had to come to terms with accepting I now live with an intolerance to many foods. I have followed Mels journey and she has helped me get through so much in this healing process because I find our past and our road to healing the body very similar and relatable. Receiving a candida bundle would help me continue on my recovery. A BIG thank you to Mel and Kirsty for sharing there knowledge with me and all of us! the world needs more of you two!

  92. Sammy Glenn says:

I honestly cannot believe how much goodness was in this podcast!! Sooooo much insightful information and so much to learn from it!
I knew vaguely how the gut was connected to the rest of the body, but didn’t realise the HUGE impacts it has on mental clarity and well being!! Nor did I know anything about Candida and the feeding the bad bacteria with products (such as Kombucha and sauerkraut and all the other fab fermented foods) that I thought would only be helping the good bacteria!
I absolutely loved this podcast, and it really inspires me to want to learn more and more about gut health! I can’t wait to hear more from Mel and Kirsty, and also can’t wait to learn more about candida – and am so keen to learn all about my own gut microbiota (and asap!!!). X

  93. Emma Smith says:

Hey Mel! I would absolutely love to win one of your candida bundles! I recently listened to this podcast and it helped me so much to discover what it is I’ve been struggling with the past few years. I’ve never thought that all of the issues with my skin and my allergies might be a result of whats going on with my gut. I went straight to a naturopath who did a few tests and within our first session was able to tell me I have leaky gut syndrome. I feel like I’m finally on the right path to feeling better. So THANKYOU BOTH SO MUCH, you honestly may have changed my life. xxxxx

  94. Emma says:

This episode WOKE ME UP! I thought I had an idea about gut health and what I needed to do to create/maintain it but now realise I was “stabbing in the dark” and ignoring what my body was telling me. I’m so grateful to now have some direction to get my gut health on track so I can be as vibrantly healthy as I deserve to be. Thank you xx

  95. Tegan says:

I love your show Melissa! This episode was definately my favourite so far I think it especially rang so true to me as I am a mum of two little boys and I suffered terrible gut and other issues related to the gut both before and during my pregnancys, I’m now realizing the impact that has had on my babies own guts, we have been dealing with huge behavioral and sleep problems and after this I’m totally convinced it is gut related. I thought we were doing all the right things but maybe not! I would absolutely love to win this bundle and start healing our family’s tummys, we live in a rural area and seeing someone who specialises in these fields would mean travelling a minimum of 6 hours. This pack would be amazing to start us on our gut healing journey at home.
Love your show, I would rate 5 stars regardless of the giveaway xx

  96. Julianne says:

I was brought here by your giveaway!! I absolutely love your podcast and I’m so grateful to have access to this transformative information at such a young age (I’m 18!). I’ve been to a Chinese herbalist doctor and he told be that my digestion was not up to par and was affecting my energy and making me have some blockages in my breathing as well (I know, not the best situation!). So with this giveaway bundle, I hope to restore my gut health and be able to breath without constriction, and get back to a vibrant health weight where I don’t have to fight the bacteria in my body. Absolute harmony is what I hope to get from this giveaway. Love you so much, Julianne

  97. Anita McKenzie says:

Forgot to say in my last comment why I’d love to win the ne of Kultured Wellness’ bundles. I’ve had Chrinic Fatigue followed by Inflammatory Arthritis ( auto-immune) for a long time now. Always used natural remedies and good food to help me heal. However, I could never get really well. Recently I’ve had very low iron, for no apparent reason, and now low thyroid readings in blood results. I was praying for guidance as I could see my health deteriorating more and more. Then I listening to yoyr Pod cast with Kirsty, Mel, and literally my prayers were answered! Winning the pack would enable me to purchase the other Kultured Wellbess products so I can heal my gut I know it will help enormously and stop the March of the auto-immune issues. Heartfelt thanks to you both…. and especially to Kirsty for being the most amazing person and Mum. Anita x

I am always looking for alternative ways to deal with balancing hormones, emotions and depression. I am working at finding a balance with food, gut health and stress levels. I would rather deal with health issues this way than pop a pill. Thank you for providing me with alternative options and ideas.

  100. Sarah says:

Hi there Beautiful Mel! Thank you for this opportunity! I have already left you a 5 star review (after I downloaded the first episode!) I hope that counts! I would LOVE to win one the Cultured Wellness bundles as I have been working on my gut health for some time now and feel like something is still missing. I began eating the Body Ecology/glow kitchen way since learning about them from you, and it has seriously changed my health, I just want to thank you for shedding light on these life changing practices. I have been looking at Kirsty’s program for some time, and have recently moved cities and started studying Holistic Nutrition full time. I would love to win a bundle and take my gut healing to a whole new level and be able to recommend it to others! x

  101. Emily says:

What an awesome podcast!! I’ve been trying to manifest a positive health journey lately and this poped up as I needed it!! All the information in one place. I have an autoimmune disease and a host of guy issues! The candida kit would be my natural best next step! Thanks for sharing your talents and information it is changing lives and steering the direction of many health journeys love love love xx

  102. Holly says:

    Hi Melissa,
Your podcasts have been so inspiring. I honestly feel like I’ve learnt more about health in the last couple of weeks since finding your podcasts than i ever have. Over the years I’ve followed you and often found at my worst point in my health, a blog post would pop up on my page from you that has given me a wee push to keep positive. I would so love to win one of your candida bundles. I’ve suffered from gut health issues for years and feel ready to finally get on top of it. I’ve made some big changes in the last year that has lead to better health but i feel like I have a way to go.
I also want to say I’d love to hear a podcast where you talk about your journey – obviously I’ve read about it but I’d love to hear you explain it in an audio version.
All my love! Thank you so much!!

  103. Rachelle Painter says:

Hi Melissa and Kirsty. I am super keen to get my gut humming along!! I’ve been treated for H. Pylori four times now (which involves 10 days of 2 types of antibitiocs and 1 antacid, 4 times a day!!). I’ve had stomach ulcers, inflamed stomach lining, reflux, etc ect etc. I also was diagnosed with depression last year which I truely believe has so much to do with my gut! My stomach has not been the same since and I’m so sick of it. Doctors have told me I have a candida overgrowth and to solve this have told me to drink apple cider vinegar every day. I’ve been on countless pro biotics, tried growing my own kombucha and eat a very healthy diet. I exercise regularly and since reading your book Melissa (mastering your mean girl) I meditate and am very big on self care now.

I listened to your pod cast and stalked your instagram and I am so ready to try the candida bundle!!

    Xxxxx

  104. Emily says:

I would love to win one of the Kultured Wellness candida bundles because it’s time to take my gut health overhaul to the next level. I’ve been well on my way, but want to take it further, and am just dying to try Kirsty’s ferments!! Plus my husband is obsessed with fermented stuff so I’d love to whip up some brand new fermented things to show him how much I love him and his gut! ❤

  105. Emma says:

I don’t know how to say thank you enough for your amazing podcasts – your dynamic and informative conversations have come into my life at the perfect time…. I am in recovery (just for today) from addiction. Although I have been on my recovery journey for awhile, it is only in the last couple of years that I have started to fully awaken to how vital gut health is for my very survival. Since I was teenager, I have endured depression, disordered eating, drug addiction and trauma – I have worked hard via therapy, 12 step fellowships and rehab to recover and heal… and gratefully, my life today is unrecognisable to the chaos of the past. However, at the tender age of 39, I am now driven more than ever to not only live, but thrive.
In the last 18months, I have gone on 2 incredible fasting retreats in Bali – here I was nurtured by beautiful naturopaths and healers to detox, rest, recover and heal. It was on retreat that I started to learn about gut health and suffice to say, i have a new (healthy) addiction… I have introduced fermented foods, probiotics, and am increasingly drawn to organic, delicious food and recipes. I am fascinated by the complexity, beauty and healing properties of good gut health! Having recently come off an anti-depressant, I am acutely aware of how essential it is for me to continue to heal and nourish my second brain (the gut). Your podcast with Kirsty Wirth was SO interesting – I suspect that I may have an imbalance… I tick a lot of the symptom boxes – not surprising when I reflect on the years of neglect, abuse, medication and stress that my body and mind suffered through. Naturally, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to win one of Kultured Wellness Rebalancing Bundles!!!! In any case, I am deeply grateful to you and Kirsty for over delivering and sharing your expertise with me and the world… the synchronicity of each and every podcast has been beautifully spooky – from gut health, to becoming a zen mumma, to growing a global tribe… holy moly, truly epic and inspiring!!

  106. Emma says:

I would loveeeee to win the Kultered wellness pack, I have struggled with candida for so long and honestly it was so hard to find something eliminate candida and help sustain the good bacteria… I would love to finally nip it in the bud! You Melissa are amazing, continue your incredible work, god knows you’ve helped me so so much

  107. Theresa West says:

    Hi Melissa and Kirsty,
I have gained so much from your podcast. I have listened to it a few times over to really pick up as much as I can. I’ve suffered digestion and bowel issues my whole life and thought, “this must just be how it is.” I eat well, exercise regularly and always try to nourish my body the best I can…yet these problems were still exisiting.
After listening to your podcast I have ventured down such an amazing new path of fermented foods and am exploring my gut health. I picked up the book ‘Brain Maker’ that you promoted in the podcast Kirsty and haven’t been able to put it down. I am now on a probiotic and fermented food adventure!
It is a little overwhelming knowing exactly which direction to head in now I’ve added these wonderful foods into my diet. As you discussed, it’s not just enough to add these in, but it’s knowing if they’ll be serving you for the right purpose! I would be so grateful if I were able to receive one of the Candida bundles you offered on Instagram. It would really help me on my wellness journey.
I’m so excited for the future podcasts to come. Every new episode has opened a new can of worms for me. I love listening to what you have to share and am always so excited to pass on my information to my loved ones!
Thank you so so much for everything you do and share! Xxx

  108. Mya Helme says:

This podcast was so incredibly informative. Kirsty’s knowledge is immense and then being able to relay this to your listeners in an interesting and easy to understand way was fabulous. Thank you so much for doing this podcast!
P.S I would love to win the Kultured Wellness product so that I can continue to heal my family and make the ferments myself saving money as well. I’m even getting my husband on board with coconut kefir which is no small achievement!!

  109. Emma Mcd says:

This podcast is life changing! I’ve shared this with so many friends! This message and information is so important and this is delivered in a user friendly way of understanding and being able to implement changes.
Would be honored to win your giveaway starter kit as I’ve got lucky gut and candida from years of aniexty and grief from the loss of my mother, which now I understand more how my body has physically taken the toll of this loss and I’ve destroyed my gut mircrobiom but I’ve had to to learn how to re-build and it’s been 4 years this April and I’m finally allowing a life of real happiness to manifest because I realize I deserve it and it’s what she would want. Either way I will be purchasing some of these great products big love, emma

  110. Emily says:

Hello! Thank you for Informing me about my gut health, it’s something that I’ve struggled with the symptoms for a long time, however I did not realised how much it has affected my health. With constant candida and other issues that you spoke about during the podcast it’s really open my eyes to the need to get myself sorted! I would love to win your product and see the amazing results!

  111. Ashleigh says:

Thank you for everything that you do Melissa, you are one fabulous human!
I’ve been following you for over three years. I started stalking your gram after Jess Ainscough put a photo up of your wedding (I’m a creep, I know!). I immediately fell in love with your message and inhale anything and everything you deliver. I often refer to your book as my bible when I lose balance in life.

I’d love love love to win the kultured wellness bundle, one because I love talking about poop with my friends and two because my partner and I are trying for a baby. I’d love to lay the best foundation for my little monkey so they can thrive. I also suffer from PCOS but not the textbook kind so thank you for interviewing Nat Kringoudis as well.
    You’re a superstar.

    Much love!!

  112. Chantel Hickson says:

    Hi Melissa!
I would love one of the candida giveaways. I recently found out I have the MTHFR gene and have always suffered from horrible stomach and digestive issues. I’m hoping to have children in the next few years so I have jumped on the gut health bandwagon to try and learn as much as I can! And fix my gut before I have a child (Feeling good is also a massive bonus). This episode was so full of knowledge and I can’t wait to really get working on my gut health!

  113. Laura says:

This is probably my favourite podcast of yours I have listened to thus far! I was sitting in the car listening to it and soaking up all the goodness that you and Kirsty were talking about. I’m a nurse (and a shift worker to boot) so Im constantly surrounded by unwell patients. The ability to look after your own health is so important and I feel that my gut health has certainly seen better days! Im am at the beginning of my wellness journey so winning the kultured wellness pack would be a perfect place to start! Particularly as I plan on trying for a baby in the new furture. Thank you for such a beautiful podcast! xxx

  114. Hannah says:

I am incredibly grateful for discovering your work and have never felt so radiant. Your podcasts, book and goodess group talks motivate me to be the best version of myself and that is why I would love to win a Kultured Wellness pack so I can begin to improve my gut health. I have struggled with disgestive issues for years and have now realised since listening to this podcast with Kirsty that I need to make my gut health a priority and be the absoulte best version of myself.
Thank you for all of your work. I don’t really have the words to explain how much it has changed my life but I really never thought it was possible to feel to radiant and I am so so so thankful to you!

  115. Jocelyn says:

I <3 kultured wellness!! I loved seeing your snaps from your day at her workshop and all the beautiful ways to create healthy, happy probiotic rich food. I have been playing around with my diet for the past 12 years and I always come back to this step as important for optimal health. I have reacurring yeast & suspected candida and I've been living in a climate with very little local options. This episode provided excellent insight and I'm so looking forward to taking things to the next level, to fermenting at home! I'm dreaming of coconut kefir! My body so needs this lovely, thoughtful kit!

  116. Madeline says:

I already left a comment a few weeks ago, but I decided to add another in light of this generous contest! I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease at 14 (nearly 15 years ago) and for the past 5 years have been treating it completely naturally. I thought I knew a lot about gut health before listening to this podcast episode, but I realized that there is SO much that I don’t know! This episode massively changed my perspective and I cannot convey how grateful I am for it. I had a look back at my tests and realized that I indeed have a candida problem and I haven’t quite known how to address it until now. After hearing Kirsty’s interview, I absolutely believe in what she’s doing and cannot WAIT to try her protocol and products. Thank you so much, ladies!

  117. Evelyn says:

    Hey Melissa,
first I want to thank you for all your work, wisdom, passion and love you give me and the rest of the world. I follow your journey a few years now and I learned so much from you (hint: your podcast is epic). Recently I bought your book ‘Masterin your mean Girl’ and I love it so much and it gives me so much power and hope.
I’m a twenty-something girl from Austria (Europe) and I am so passioned about to live a healthy and happy live. Since my childhood I’m suffering with asthma, several allergies, depression and my body weight (because of all the toxic medications). Two years ago I stopped taking the pill (I was on the pill for 7 years), since then I struggle with bad skin (acne), hair loss, bloathing, gaining weight, mood swings, low libido and the list goes on. So I really would love to live a life without these troubles. I just want to feel happy in my body and most important to live in a healthy body.
Therefor I think I have to work on my gut health and I would be so grateful and happy to win one of the candida bundles to have the chance to change my live.

thank you Melissa, I’m so grateful for your work.
Greetings all the way from Austria (Europe)!

    Love Evelyn

  118. Anita McKenzie says:

I want every person who is in their 20’s or 30’s to take note of what Kirsty said about gut issues manifesting into more and more health issues as you age. It is so true as Im living it in my mid 50’s. I’ve been unwell since I was 15 years old on and off and unable to work full-time since I was 30 years old. Please heal your gut using Kirsty’s suggestions.
I have done SO many things to improve my health but always something was missing and not hitting the mark. This was ncludes gut health, probiotics and I can never ever stomach kombucha drinks and organic apple cider vinegar etc that was the norm for gut health. NOW I KNOW WHY!! This info is LIFE-CHANGING!
Thank you Kirsty for this incredible info that is an answer to my prayers / pleas for help. Thank you Melissa, for bringing this vital information to us all. I’m extremely grateful to you both. Anita x

  119. Haley Moeller says:

I have learned SO SO much from all of your podcasts, especially the ones that touch on the importance of gut health. I have had an abundance of issues with my gut for over 7 years. I live a very active and overall healthy life so this issue of mine has always surprise me! I started a few years ago making my own yogurt and paying attention to obtaining more pro-biotics in my diet. I was so ecstatic to see that there is a yogurt culture made with coconut milk! I am extremely interested in this product and excited to see if this is a step in the right direction to solving my gut issue!
Keep on keeping on Melissa!! I love your work!!

  120. Siobhan Roughan says:

Awesome podcast, as always!! Thank you so much for sharing all the wisdom 🙂 I’m health practitioner in London, UK, originally from NZ. Can you recommend anyone to go to/refer patients to here in London??
So much thanks in advance!! xx

    • Jemma says:

Siobhan are you a practitioner?? Im an Aussie based in UK, looking for guidance. Let me know if you can help. Thanks!

  121. Hi lovely! I adore your podcast #themelissaambrosinishow! Mel, you are an amazing force of light inspiring us all to live healthier, happier, wealthier lives, thriving & loving ! Your podcasts are inspirational & highly educational yet light & fun to listen to!I have very much benefited from this particular podcast with you and Kirsty educating on gut health! I’m healthy and doing my best but given my previous years of stress, mini-strokes, bad sleep and anxiety, and being a vata in Ayurveda, I’m still working on improving my gut health and I will be so excited and grateful to be given a chance to enter the generous giveaway of a candida bundle you and Kirsty are doing! My heart is filled with gratitude for all the work you are doing in the world and inspiration you bring with such loving energy! Lots of love!

  122. OMG! I loved this episode. I have a daughter who is almost 2 years old and from studying at IIN I have done all I can to help her gut health. But knowing Kirsty’s experience with her bad gut health and how this effected her son has made me so aware even more so, especially for when we have our second baby. Wow! So much goodness in this, thank you Melissa and Kirsty!

I would also love to enter the Instagram competition for the Candida pack – my hubby has a funny stomach and had colic when he was a baby, so I would love to be able to help him with his gut health.

  123. Ash Leslie says:

Thank you for doing this episode. So much of what Kirsty spoke about really resonated with me. It has inspired me to look into my own gut health in the hope of being as healthy as possible when I start a family in the near future. I would love to start this journey with the guidance of one of Kirsty’s candida bundles!
Thank you again Melissa. Your energy is contagious

Tribe: Beautiful goddesses, I with you all the best on your healing journeys, you beauties are so inspiring with your strength! Sending each and every one of you love and healing light!

As a huge fan of Kultured Wellness, I’d love to win the Candida Bundle not just to escape the pain I feel in my body now (candida growth in my joints, primarily my knees) but because I know (in large part thanks to you Melissa) that so much more is possible, greater health and with it, happiness, and the energy I need to bring greater healing to the world!!!

    All Love,
    C

  125. Celene says:

Hey everyone! 🙂 I LOVED LOVED LOVED this episode! Thankyou Melissa!
I had a whopping 8 courses of antibiotics between February and June last year! Safe to say my gut took a freaking beating! I know now how horrible that is but at the time I was just doing the best I could – I’d go to the doctor and say “I’m 21 and it should not be taking my body this long to heal and overcome infection; what are my other options?” But they had no other options, it was just more antibiotics – for my infected skin wounds that wouldn’t clear, for nasal and chest infections, for an ingrown toe, for thrush. In what I thought was a separate issue at the time, I also stacked on a lot of weight and struggled with a lot of lack of motivation, tiredness and very low self worth. But I know now how intricately my mental health and my gut are linked and it’s liberating to me to know that I can improve my self-esteem and my motivation and happiness by healing my gut! My journey has only begun and I have a lot to learn and a long way to go – it will take years to heal the damage all the antibiotics and alcohol has done, as well as to work out what the best way to do this is for me is – but I’m so excited and already feeling AHmazing compared to six months ago. I’ve started seeing a naturopath who has me on her anti-candida diet – which is no sugar, yeast, wheat and limited fruits and acidic vegetables. The self control is very hard sometimes but I feel so much better already! I would love to win the candida packs to help me on my journey! Thankyou mel for all you do! Much love. Celene Xx

  126. Dav says:

This episode changed my life when I first heard it! I ran to my partner after and poured so much of what I learned into his ear that he was so overwhelmed. I just re-listened and still could not take it all the incredible abundance of information to enhance my vitality! After reading over these comments about why these other ladies deserve the candida bundle, it is truly difficult to come up with a more deserved case! I have been interested in natural probiotics for years now and have spent so much time trying new things from capsules, to kombucha, to fermented veg, and recently I’m curious about fermented Jun tea. I used to have terrible acne and a complicated digestive system. No facial cleanser could create a glow in my face. There were days when I didn’t poop and I could feel my good energy getting sucked away and extra pimples popping up. Ever since I switched to a vegan diet, I have felt the most clean inside than I have ever felt. My internal systems work so well together and I can finally hear my body speak (is that a thing? Because I swear it is). However, I still notice that when I eat something with sugar (including too much fruit) and gluten, my belly bloats and groans. I get pains that I can’t push away unless I fall asleep with Zakairan’s tesla radiation disc on my tummy or rubbing ginger essential oil into my lotion and spreading it around my belly button. I usually wake up feeling alright, but I I always run to my kombucha or apple cider vinegar drink right when I wake up to heal my insides. I want to have babies soon, so I want to make sure my gut is as balanced as it should be. I worked so hard to balance my life, but I don’t want my little monkeys to struggle like I did. I want them to be born healthy and happy! I did the spit test to check if I have candida and I saw some strings grow into the water, but I’m not a doctor so I didn’t really know what I was doing. I feel really good inside, but that is mostly because I am so aware of what I am putting into my body. I would love this bundle to give me a proper healing and help me better understand the parts of my system that I have been able to hear. Thank you for your voice and your commitment to helping others heal xxx

  127. Zoe Ryan says:

Found this episode really interesting. As a midwife we are getting more and more women asking about vaginal seeding. I wasn’t expecting to hear this in your podcasts so I was thrilled when you started talking about it. Well done ladies on approaching the subject. I look forward to putting more knowledge on gut health into practise. Definitely interested in trying Kultured Wellness Candida bundle.

  128. Kylie Olivia says:

Wow I would love to win one of these packs because, well, where do I start…..I’ve been a vegan for a couple of years now and I feel like over the past 6months I’ve really needed support to feel energised and able as a mother (slightly sleep deprived also)! So, I breastfed my son until he was 18months old and I was actually pregnant with my daughter. I had to stop BF my son when I was about 5months pregnant due to requiring an operation and antibiotics! I still BF my daughter who just turned one. So I guess in short, I feel that my gut could do with a restart, some support and I’m a sucker for information, so for mine and my families health I am looking for something that realigns me! Thank you x p.s Melissa your podcasts are definitely assisting – love your work sista xx

  129. Emily says:

I’ve recently tuned into your podcasts and I absolutely love listening to them during my spare time. I would love to win a Candida bundle because I’m a young mum at 20 and I’m planning to have my second child at the end of the year. Listening to this podcast got me a little scared! I’m totally not prepared in my gut health to carry another bubba. My boy gets cold sores like me and catches viruses that I do. I’ve got the implanon and I haven’t had a period for about 13 months!. I feel so drained, tired, I have no energy, I have to nap with my bubba and sometimes I’m too weak to even play with him. I feel horrible, but I love that there’s a way to fix this. I have a doctors appointment this week, going to get every test that I can, I know I’ll be iron deficient because I have been for many years, but I really would love to win this because it will be a great start to improving my gut health, my overall health, life and wellbeing!.

  130. Carlie says:

    Hey Beauty’s,
I’d be so stoked to win one of the kultured wellness bundles to ignite me on my gut healing journey. There is so much information out there it’s all so overwhelming when trying to do my own research. So having this informative and practical bundle will be so beneficial xx

I’ve absolutely loved every thing you have created, Melissa. Mastering your Mean Girl changed my life. I’m currently going through a difficult life transition and have been so inspired through your podcast and the glow kitchen to make sure I’m taking care of myself as much as possible to support my body and soul through this time. I loved this podcast on gut health and would love to take my health journey to the next level.❤

  132. Katherine says:

    Hi Melissa,
I adore your podcasts and am so very grateful you speak about taboo subjects as well as cover health, sex, business, etc.
I loved this podcast with Kultured wellness as it resonated with me as I am a Clinical Nutritionist who understands the gut and how extremely important it is. The only unfortunate circumstance here is that i am so busy with my own patients and their health, that i have let my own gut health slip and have been struggling to keep on top of it. I always practice what i preach, expect for this one area of my health. I feel this package would be so amazing as it will provide me with the tools i need to really kickstart my gut health and it will not only benefit me, but also my patients. I have never tried kefir or the herbal blend that is part of the bundle and would love the opportunity to try it as i understand why it is so important. I would love to live true to myself and my patients.
Thank you for sharing all your knowledge Melissa and Kirsty, it was an amazing podcast xx

  133. Sasha Leong says:

Absolutely in love with your podcast!! I love learning all these new things about hormones and gut health! It has inspired me to go off the pill (which I was put on for irregular periods) and start to get control of my hormones properly! I didn’t even know that the pill affected your gut until I listened to your podcast so I would love to use the gut health pack you are offering to get control of my hormones and health. Keep doing what you are doing. You are such a gorgeous soul. xxx

  134. NatJCass says:

I truly loved this episode! So insightful and interesting, I learnt so much. Having recently been diagnosed with PCOS so this was so helpful. Would love to be blessed with a candida bundle

  135. Emily says:

    Hi Melissa,

Firstly, I love all your content – it educates me on wellness, mindset, life and everything in between. I am a candda sufferer myself and have been trying all methods to free my body for a couple of years. I would love to try Kirsty’s bundles to see if that would give me relief.

It is hard to have any illness, but an illness not recognised by modern medicine is harder – not because I am looking for a medical treatment but because no one understands the effects or symptoms.

Thank you for sharing more information and bringing light to a serious illness millions of women across the world suffer from – but sadly aren’t aware of.

Can’t wait to hear more from you!

    Em x

  136. Brittany says:

Thank you Mel and Kirsty! What a fascinating topic of discussion in the podcast! I am absolute obsessed to listening to your podcast, before which I had never been interested in podcasts at all! I have been learning so much, and started to question and fight for my health. I have always been active, and I’m a healthy weight, yet I always feel fatigued and light headed, And my mood swings very easily. I have had multiple blood tests done all of which come back normal, but listening to my body I know something isn’t right. The more I listen and learn about gut health (I recently read Giulia Enders ‘Gut’ and Emeran Mayer ‘Mind Gut Connection’- AMAZING!) the more I think this could be me! I would love a chance to win this amazing candida cleanse, as Im a university student and wouldn’t be able to afford it otherwise. I’m always trying to improve my over all healthy from nutrition, excercise, mindfulness and meditation, rest and reducing exposure to toxins.
Keep doing what you do, your making such an important and positive impact on the world.
    Brittany xx

Hi Melissa! Love listening to your podacasts! This one stood out the most as I am dealing with a bacterial overgrowth myself 🙁 horrible horrible symptoms for the last 2 years particularly starting when I moved overseas to dance professionally but slowly starting to get back on track but it has been hard trying to avoid so many foods especially when out 🙁 this candida pack would be amazing to win to help my condition. I know that stress doesn’t help the gut either. 3 months ago my partner had major bowel resection surgery as a result of Crohn’s disease and has s temporary colostomy bag which has put a huge strain on his confidence and motivation 🙁 and the stress we were under took a massive turn on my health! Horrible symptoms in my gut, itchy skin, sever bloating where I looked 5 months pregnant! Sharp pains in my stomach (can’t complain compared to my partner and what he went through) but it does play a bit part. I really love listening to ALL of your info it makes so much sense and am really trying to get my head around healing this gut so I can have healthy babies one day and a healthy life. Thank you for being a beautiful light in this life and you are SO inspirational I feel like you just get how we all feel! Much love xx

  138. Jess says:

I am believing so much right now in how everything happens for a reason. I have followed you for years Melissa, having stumbled across your instagram while I was battling anxiety. Years down the track and I have become stuck with a gut problem that has ruined my past year. I have done numerous tests and been on and off antibiotics while following a low fodmap diet. Nutrition and natural health has always been a priority to me so to have surrendered my body and health to medications has left me feeling powerless. Being time poor and a single mum with limited resource, I have given away my control and my gut health is sadly suffering. This is showing up in all aspects of my life and I know I understand the link thanks to this podcast. This podcast is everything I need right now. This is the path I want to be on and I want to take control of my gut health. Thanks Melissa and Kirsty xoxo

  139. Casey says:

Thank you so much for this wonderful podcast, Melissa and Kirsty! It was super interesting and insightful, and it has truly shed some light about what might be going on in my gut and life in general. I giggled and gasped many times throughout this podcast, so thank you for sharing your messages with us. in such a light, fun and honest way.

I’ve have been struggling with gut health for a few years now (I’m 27 years old), but even more so recently. I currently live in Korea (I’m originally from Australia) and have access to an abundance of fermented food and vegetables (kimchi for days!!!), but I have no idea whether or not these types of food are actually improving or harming my gut. I’ve been eating them daily with the belief that they’ve been healing my gut, but after listening to your podcast, I realized that I definitely need to examine the effects that they’ve been having on my health. Unfortunately, in Korea there aren’t many gluten free, sugar free and organic food options available, and due to the language and cultural barriers, it can be quite difficult to rely on the medical information and advice provided to me.

I would absolutely love to win the Kultured Wellness Candida Bundle as I’m honestly feeling a little lost and overwhelmed as to how I can get my gut health back on track whilst living in a foreign country.

Thanks again for all that you do! Much love x

    Hi Melissa and Kirsty,

This podcast was absolutely amazing. It has given me the kickstart and motivation I need to begin my journey of health. I’ve been researching a lot on topics such as this but haven’t actually applied myself to what I have learnt. Thank you so much for putting your voices out there for women like me to be the best they can be. Xxx

This is my FAVORITE podcast so far! I am 24 years old and within the next couple of years I want to start having babies with my husband, and I know this gut health package would help me start the journey. I know a good amount of gut health facts already, but I had to idea how much your gut health affects your babes! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

  142. Chelsea says:

    Hi Mel,
Loved this podcast. I find it so fascinating that the state of your gut can really determine the rest of your health. I am relatively health conscious 23 year old university student studying nutrition, who after going on several rounds of antibiotics four years ago began to suffer from a host of health problems ranging from hormone and skin issues to anxiety and low immunity . After going from doctor to doctor and never finding any answers, my gut was finally tested a few months ago revealing that I had helicobacter pylori. My body has been through so much trauma during those four years and I have made it my goal to heal my gut so that I can get back to my health back. I have actually listened to a number of podcasts featuring Kirsty Wirth and her story of healing her son by using these products astounds me. I would love to try Kultured Wellness and witness the same turn around in health.

    Thanks Mel XX

I absolutely loved this episode. I have been talking my friend’s ears off about gut health since I listened to it!

It has opened my eyes to how important it is to take control now to ensure we live a long, happy and healthy life with our loved ones.

I would love to kickstart a more focused approach to my gut health with Kirsty’s programme and feel the benefits of more energy and a focused mind.

And lastly thank you for sharing Kirsty’s journey – it’s a beautiful and inspiring story.

  144. Lauren says:

Oh! This was such a treat! Knowledge is power, thank you so much for sharing and connecting us with such amazing experts. Gut health in particular is something I am currently working on, basically throwing all my might and magic at it. My Hubby and I are currently planning to conceive and I know that this is so, so important to the health of my future children. Thank you for providing us the opportunity to receive a pack from Kristy! It’s extremely generous! Keep us the fab work Melissa – your podcast was the first one I subscribed to and I haven’t missed an episode yet!!

  145. Miranda Cashin says:

    Hi Mel and Kirsty,

Thank you so much for this episode, it was packed with so much love, information and passion and came at just the right moment on my gut healing journey.
I have been struggling with major health and gut issues since I developed osteomyelitis in my femur (bone infection) which saw me spend 18months on antibiotics and undergo six surgeries. Things have escalated since my last surgery and despite eating a beautiful and nourishing diet I started experiencing severe bloating, abdominal pain, weight gain, hormonal problems and debilitating fatigue. I am seeing a naturopath to assist me in my healing journey but have just returned from a doctors appointment during which I fought back tears after being told there was nothing ‘medically wrong with me’ and that ‘most women experience these symptoms’. I know it’s not normal to feel like this and it isn’t normal for me. I feel lost in this healing journey and I would love to win the Candida Bundle to help me find my way back to health.

Thank you both for sharing what you do with the world,
    Miranda xx

    Hi Kirsty & Mel,
Just wanted to thank you Mel for allowing the platform for this information to come through. I have had some gut issues resurface in the last week so it couldn’t have come at a better time. Kirsty I was so moved by your message. I have gone so far as to cancel all my commitments this week – to focus on my healing. I’ve enlisted the support of a naturopath, TCM doctor and my local GP and I’ve just paid for my bioscreen test. Feeling hopeful and supported as I take these steps.
I loved how at the end of the podcast Kirsty gave her 5 practical tips – I jotted them down and felt like I really had something to work with.

Thanks again to both of you x

Melissa this episode was seriously EPIC. So so interesting! Thank you and Kirsty so much for sharing xxx

  149. Nikki Jury says:

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I truly believe everything happens for a reason & this podcast was definitely in my reasons. Earlier this year I fell pregnant. My husband and I had been trying for 1 year and we were over the moon to FINALLY have a little miracle on the way. Well- it was the happiest week of our lives anyway. Our pregnancy was Ectopic and we had to end it with an injection to save my tube (and if the tube was to burst- my life). It has been the hardest few months since then with the most heartbreak I’ve ever felt. But I am a positive person- knowing that this has happened for a reason- a reason I will eventually figure out. My periods had gone MIA and I knew it was time to seek help. Acupuncture and Chinese medicine has brought me back to a slightly regular cycle and has shone the light on why we have endured this heartache. My gut. I had little to no idea about gut health and why it is so important. My acupuncturist explained how my gut is (terrible- to put it nicely) and what needs to be done to get it back on track to good health. Since then I’ve been addicted to researching and I saw your podcast. I’ve listened to it 3 times now and I am baffled with the information and inspiration that you both give. I am on the slow road to recovery, knowing that our ectopic happened with a reason- to give our future child the absolute best start to life, I must first be the healthiest and best version of myself. Forever grateful Xx

    Hi Melissa and Kirsty,

I absolutely loveddd this episode and I’m not just saying this because I would love to win the candida package! 🙂 After listening to the podcast last month I literally googled and found a brilliant naturopath in the Sunny Coast and sent off some saliva and fecal samples to test my hormones and gut health. I currently struggle with anxiety and hormonal acne and after listening to your podcast I was so inspired to find out the condition of my gut health. The idea that my anxiety could be healed or at least improved by healing my gut is so exciting! I actually have my follow up appointment with my naturopath at lunchtime today and will find out my results then. I can’t wait!! Since the podcast I’ve also made my own sauerkraut and fermented garlic in honey for a tasty cough syrup / salad dressing – freaking yum! Thanks again for this beautiful podcast Melissa. So grateful to have found it!

  151. Kathy says:

Hi! I loved this podcast, it was so informative and Kirsty your story is amazing! I live in London UK … would you be able to recommend a treatment centre I could go to, to get an assessment of my gut health (do some of the tests you mentioned) and work with someone to improve my gut health? Thank you!

  152. Lidia says:

    Hey Melissa,

Thank you and Kirsty for this podcast! It’s amazing and has taught me and my family so much!
    Just a question…
I live in Sydney, could you recommended a clinic or practioner I could see to get some tests done, I’m really interested to see how me and my family’s gut health is.

    Thanks,
    Lidia

  153. Oliva says:

Hi Melissa and Kirsty! I have listened to this episode TWICE now as I am on my own gut healing journey, thankyou for the beautiful chat and sharing so openly.
Kirsty, I would be super grateful if you could answer me this question which came from your conversation: if one is currently eating organic meat and veg because of a hyper-sensitive inflamed gut that wont benefit from pesticides and antibiotics in the non-organic versions of these foods, but has absorption issues and poor digestion as i currently do (but am working on), what do you recommend I eat?
I know you cant tell me the exact foods without knowing me- but I can tell you I do best on a paleo-ketogenic inspired diet- but am I just wasting my money on buying this expensive produce as you said in the podcast? What is then the alternative as of course we all need nutrition? I will be working wth a specialised practitioner in 6 months as I am working on improving grief and trauma issues before I see her as this may well play a role in the state of my gut, but would really appreciate the advice on this for the moment!
Thankyou so so much, lots of love to you both xxxx

  154. Jacqui says:

    Hi!
A massive congrats on this podcast series that I’ve just discovered and am currently binge listening to!
This podcast is as heartbreaking as it is inspiring – as a mum I can’t begin to imagine what Kirsty has been through.
I’ve been interested in gut health for ages for me and my girls who were both c-section babies but have found it almost impossible to find a practitioner that truly understands how to provide individual plans for healing the gut. So excited about this! Thank you xx

  155. Aston says:

This is very insightful. I am convinced my thyroid is not performing properly but all tests came back fine. So now I will look into gut health. Would be great if you had a list of practitioners you recommend around Australia, ie. Melbourne. Great show x

  156. Natalia says:

    Hi Melissa,

I don’t have twitter so I can’t leave my comment there. But I just wanted to tell you that it would be awesome if you one day made a podcast with Alexi Panos and Preston Smiles. I think you and the two of them are one of the best out there. IT would be amazing to see you guys having a chat 🙂

  157. Sam says:

    Hey Mel!!!
Just to start off, your podcasts are NEXT LEVEL AMAZING!!
I seriously can’t get enough of them and can’t believe how much goodness I am getting out of them – so thank you x1000!!!
I was wondering if you could recommend anyone in Melbourne to see about getting Gut Health on track? A good Naturopath or alike?
Thankyou!!! Much love to you! Thanks for being an amazing and inspiring woman!

    • Pleasure Sam! Thank YOU for listening and your kind words.

I would email Kirsty and see her as she does Skype sessions and is THE BEST person I know for gut health. Send her an email angel.

      xx

  160. Leanne Smith says:

Hi there love this podcast where in Sydney can I get the gut health test done 🙂

  161. Renee Flack says:

    Hello beauty!

Firstly thank you so much for putting this out in the world, sometimes I feel like you are following my journey and providing me the information I need right at that point in time! ah-maz-ing!

I loved this episode because it really got me thinking and opened my mind to all these new concepts and health topics (like methylation!)

I have since done a Bioscreen (waiting on the results) and am working with two Melbourne-based Integrative Medicine Doctors to help me on my journey.

I would just like to ask one question though (as it will be a couple of weeks till I get my results therefore can’t ask my doc), will the Bioscreen show Candida and SIBO? Or are they tested for separately? If so, who do you recommend (as mentioned above I am Melbourne-based).

Thanks so much lovely lady x x x

    • YAY! So excited you are getting on to all this honey. It’s the best thing you can do for your health and life.

As far as I am aware the Bioscreen will show candida overgrowth but it’s a different test for SIBO which your GP will have to do.

Sending you so much love angel.

      xx

  162. Janey says:

    Hey Melissa,

This has really given me a massively insight, I’m taking some strong pain medication and spend a lot of my time fussing and depressed..listening to this I’m excited to start loving my gut more…. I guess I have to start with getting a test to see what’s really happening in there.. thank you so very much xx

  163. Rebecca says:

Hi Melissa, i’m wondering how to find a good practitioner in Melbourne who does the poo test? (sorry i’ve forgotten what it’s called). Regards Rebecca

  164. Jade says:

Loved this episode so much and so determined to get my testing done so I can really determine what is best for my body. I have seen expensive dietitians and so many specialists post several abdominal surgeries and never had everything explained so simply! I am so sick of trial and error over the past several years and ready to have a clear direction. Any recommendations for practitioners in Perth WA?

    • Hey Jade, I am not sure of anyone in Perth. But the best thing you can do is email Kirsty and ask her as she may know someone over that way. Good luck with it and please let me know if there’s anything else I can do to help. xx

  165. Hey Jade, I am not sure of anyone in Perth. But the best thing you can do is email Kirsty and ask her as she may know someone over that way. Good luck with it and please let me know if there’s anything else I can do to help. xx

  166. I absolutely LOVED this interview so much. So much information. I am new to you Melissa and so far I love what I hear.
Thank you for sharing this very important topic with us.

  167. Anna says:

Hi Melissa, I just discovered your show. I saw Kirsty and did a workshop on the weekend, and when I searched further I came across you! I am looking forward to following you and listening more to your stuff. I am a Kinesiologist from Melbourne, and I have been on my own health journey. May I ask you a question, you said in the podcast you saw a naturopath who helped you with your gut and bioscreen testing etc. Are you able to pass on their details to me? I am looking to do the same, really manipulate the terrain in that area!~ 🙂 thank you x

  168. Sandra says:

    Dear Melissa,
I love your podcast, thanks a lot for all this info <3
I would like to get my stool checked. Which parameters are the ones I should get checked?
Thanks so much for your answer

WOW! How I wish I had listened to this 6 months ago before my second was born. Or looked into this hen my 3 year old was born, who then suffered severe eczema, which followed by asthma! Loved loved loved this Melissa – Thank you both!! Amazing ladies.
    Shared already!! XO K

    • You can start today angel. It’s never too late. xx

      • Kath Hansen says:

Thank you!! I’ve book in at the Pagoda Tree to really get this journey under way! I’ve followed Nat for so long. I’m slightly peeved with my self for listening to everyone else telling me to go to the Doctors (Who never gave me a real answer to anything and just diagnosed me with PND Anxiety, Iron Def, Endo etc etc..) Instead of my intuition! Anyway, here we are today and how grateful am I to have the opportunity to be booked in there (via skype) tomorrow! Thank you for your AMAZING podcast!!!!!XO

  170. Jordyn Moreno says:

This podcast rocked my world! The information supplied was far beyond what I could have hoped for! I am one of those people who have pushed aside my symptoms for far too long and can’t wait to get a good reading on what nutrient dense foods will work best with my body. Do you have a suggestion on what company to get my bio screen done? I’m in Boise, Idaho.

    Thank you again so much.

  171. Maz says:

    Hi Kirsty!
This Podcast was so inspirational and something i needed to hear. I have been suffering with Gastrointestinal Issues for over a year now, after really bad bout of gastroenteritis (which is what i think it was…) Due to doctors telling me id have to live with it, i have now developed IBS, Severe Gastroparesis, ‘Leaky Gut’, SIBO. I am always in pain and always have nausea. Can i ask, did your son have incredibly slow digestion or nausea and abdominal pain that was healed with your healing protocol?
    Kindest Regards to you,

    Maria

  172. Jennifer says:

This podcast omg – changed my life honestly. I have suffered with gastrointestinal issues all my life – I have severe endometriosis and my health has never been right. I have commited myself now to stick with finding wellness and life again. Thank you! I have just found your socials and these podcasts and I believe these will aid me I finding my happiness and living life again. THANK YOU xx

  173. Kate says:

I LOVED this podcast. I have done a lot of research in gut health and healing my gut but still felt so lost. I have tried all the things you are meant to try however have found no great improvement. I am so pleased to have come across this podcast with these tools. I don’t know if you can help at all however I was wondering how exactly do you search for a practitioner that specializes in the bioscreen tests? I am in Mackay Queensland. Thank you soooo much xxx

  174. Leah says:

I love you Melissa & I love Kirsty Worth so finding this old podcast interview was a nice surprise for me today.
It also answered my concerns about using kombucha. I recently did a fermenting course with an amazing practitioner (Holistic Lifestyler who is actually friends with Kirsty Worth) & he did suggest kombucha may not be helpful for people with yeast issues. I’ve been wondering whether to stop making it and did some googling today but read even if someone has candida, kombucha can help as it’s creating good yeast not pathogenic yeast, which left me in two minds. However, after hearing this I do feel that kombucha is not good for me. Although as Kirsty suggested, I shall stop stabbing in the dark. I am booking my partner in to see the great local practitioner I mentioned to have tests done. And I assume I will follow suit shortly after.
Thank you and keep up the great work! Xxx

  175. Bryony Carter says:

Just listen to the podcast #5 on gut health and omg sooo many health concerns I have align with gut triggers, or they sure sound like they could very well be the cause. Where can I find the lists of TESTS to get done and Where can I find a Natropath or someone who can read them and help me in the right direction?

  176. Tegan says:

    Hi Melissa,

Absolutely loved this podcast and related to it so much. Thank you so much for sharing.

I live in Sydney and I was hoping that you could please point me in the direction of somebody who could analyse a bio-screen test for me and go through a report or something of the sort. From there I would love to know which foods etc I should be having/ avoiding… just like you mentioned in the podcast I have been increasing sauerkraut and kombucha in my diet thinking it to be beneficial!!! Now I’m thinking it isn’t.

My symptoms include: psoriasis, chronic candida, chronic (and life-long) constipation, bloating, acne on my chin, have regular bouts of anxiety/depression, indecisiveness, inability to handle alcohol and sluggishness.

Thank you so much for all that you do.

    T x

  177. Amanda says:

WOW WOW WOW! I am a new listener and I absolutely loved this episode! I thought that I ate really healthy but this episode really opened my eyes to things that Im ignoring about my gut health.
Thank you for all that you do 🙂

  178. Lydia says:

Have recently been introduced to your podcast, I have been enjoying them all so far but todays has blown my mind! My mum has/is having HUGE gut issues for the past year and todays episode has left us with more new options that we didn’t even know about, so thankyou! Feeling grateful! x

  179. Sarah says:

    Hi Melissa,

Great episode, but I think I left more confused. You keep saying fermented foods and probiotics were actually detrimental to your gut healing process, but then Kirsty says fermented foods should always be on your plate when trying to heal it. Not everyone can afford to see a naturopathic doctor that insurance doesn’t cover or hire someone like Kirsty to help so what do we do!? Where does someone with limited resources start? Do we consume fermented foods or not!?

    Thank you!

    • Hey Sarah, fermented foods are great but for some people they are not! It all depends and what’s going on for you. If you have any gut issues it’s always best to get that sorted before you embark on any new things. If you can’t get to a naturopath I would try half a teaspoon and see how you feel. Tune in and always listen to your body. Only you know your body. Everyone is so different and it’s really important you listen to yourself. Does that make sense honey?

  180. Jennifer says:

Hi Melissa, I am a new listener and I am blown away by this podcast. I have been feeling a lot of the following symptoms and now after listening I look forward to trying to solve this. Love the positive messages you are spreading.
    Thank you

  181. Amber says:

Im from the states. Is there a website where i can find a specific type of doctor that can provide and read these types of tests recommended?

  182. Nadia says:

    Hi Melissa,

What was the name for the test to request at a nutritionist that Kirsty mentioned? Thanks!

  183. Nora says:

Hi please contact me ASAP I adore every word that comes out of your mouth and your son has a wonderful mother like yourself. I am in tears as I write this as my one and only son is showing a lot of autism signs and I just know it’s something to do with his gut I have started him on a Candida diet today and already seen improvements I just need some help as nobody will listen !

    • I hear you honey. This must be very tough for you and your little man, and even more reason to make sure it is handled correctly. Seeking proper guidance is always the best plan, whether it’s someone like Kirsty or Donna gates and Maria Hunt from Body Ecology who also do a lot of work specifically for autistic children. Wishing you lots of love. xxx

    Thanks-enjoyed this:)

  185. Caroline says:

    Hey beautiful lady/ladies,

I loved listening to this podcast, I am only 5 in but this is my favourite!

I really need to get a bio screening done as I feel as though this will really benefit me as I know I am suffering in my gut area. Can you recommend anywhere in Sydney? It would mean the world to me if you could share your recommendations. Thank you, Caroline x

  186. Beth says:

    Hi Melissa and Kirsty,
I just want to say how grateful I am for this podcast. It truly has opened by eyes. I’ve never had much interest in food/health before but there were so many Ah ha moments and oh my gods throughout this podcast that it has totally inspired me. I just want to know everything there is to know about gut health and being happier and healther now.
I’m in the UK, is there anyone you’d recommend for this information, tests etc over this side of the pond? I’ve never really had a goal in my life of what I want to do for ME and now I do, I want to know everything there is, be the example and then help other people. So thank you for that!
You are both beautiful strong women and it is a pleasure to have been able to learn from you.

    • Thanks for your kind words honey. I am currently seeing Dr Stphen Cabral if you would like to check him out. You can also listen to my epic podcast with him here. xx http://stephencabral.com/

      • Beth says:

        Hi Melissa,
Thanks for this. I’ll definitely check out his website and the podcast. From what I can see on his website he’s based in America which is still a long way from me in the North of England. Have you any lovely people over here? I’m dying to learn more. xxx

      • Hey Beth, I work with him and it’s all on skype so don’t let that stop you from working with him. They send you the test’s, you do them, post them back and have a Skype session with him. Easy as that! Tell him I said hi. xx

      • Mel says:

I loved loved loved this podcast!! I want to get all the tests done! Could you recommend someone I could see in Melbourne?

      • Hey honey, I have no idea about someone is Melbourne but I highly recommend and work with Dr Stephen Cabral. He is my go-to guy. Make sure you listen to my podcast with him first before you make any decisions. xx

  187. Laura says:

Do you have a transcript of your podcasts? I am deaf and it’s helpful to have a written transcript!

  188. Danielle says:

Hi Melissa, I have just started listening to your podcasts and find them amazing! Thank you so much!
I have always struggled and had major bloating problems and issues with digestion and obviously everything that comes with it. What are the tests that you recommend to have to find out where I am going wrong?

    • Hey Danielle, I am so glad you love the show as much as I LOVE doing it for you. In regards to the best test’s I would check out Dr Stephen Cabral and get his top 5 test’s, he is my go-to man. You can also listen to all my episodes with him as he talks about the big top 5 tests in those episodes. Let me know if you have any other questions my love. xx
